KatScan Update!

I wanted to pop in and give you all an update on Kat, who was the recipient of the Bloggers Helping Bloggers.  She emailed me the last day of the Boobie-Thon and I sent out a quick note about it, but I wanted to sit down and write a proper blog post about it. 

Kat had her post-op appointment on October 7th, where they removed the stitches from the surgery that saved her life! 

Kat wrote:

Thanks again for everything, you have no idea how much this has all meant to me. The outpouring of support has been amazing and so overwhelming to me. Over $1,000 to help me, incredible.
I will be having another surgery in about 6 months, a revision surgery to get my head laced correctly, but it’s ok, I’m ok with it. I’m alive, I’m here with my sons.

We are so glad to have been able to help Kat and we wish you all the best.

Boobie-Thon Raises $9,300.00

I don’t even know what to say.  We have raised $9,300.00 in 7 days, which far exceeds what we raised last year and it also breaks our record set back in 2006.  *blink* *blink*

I am in shock.  So so happy and overwhelmed and emotional.  This week has been a whirlwind and I prayed we would do well.  And we did great!

Robyn sent a note a few moments ago letting me know how happy she is for all of us:

A huge thank you to all of the coordinators, volunteers, donors, photo-participants, and people who helped spread the word—this has grown into something beyond my wildest dreams and expectations and I couldn’t be
more proud of everyone involved from 2002-2008

The Boobie-Thon would never have celebrated seven years if Robyn hadn’t helped out a friend.  She worked her ass off to make this a respectable fundraiser and one that so many people participate in year after year.  We look forward to many more!

Everyone’s support and help has made this week so amazing.  I can not thank you all enough for donating, participating, volunteering and tweeting your hearts out for us.  I am so proud of what we have done here and I am so thrilled to be part of this awesome event.  When I first sent in my rack shot years ago, I never imagined I would be sitting here telling you all that we have raised over $50,000.00 between 2002-2008!
