2011 marked the 10th Annual Blogger Boobiethon. In those 10 years, the Boobiethon has succeeded in raising $84,135.53 for breast cancer research as well as assisting bloggers in need. In the past, the Boobiethon has run the first week of October, and bloggers from all over the world would send in photos of their boobies (both covered and uncovered) to help raise money for Komen. It worked and we are thankful for everyone who has participated over those 10 years.
Last year the Boobiethon as we had known it, retired (for more detailed information about the Blogger Boobiethon and how it started, please visit The History of the Boobie-Thon written by the Boobie-Thon Founder, Robyn in 2005. You can also find another "History of the Boobiethon" at heyfreak.com). We had a good long run, and all the volunteers are proud of what it has accomplished.
Now, in 2012, the Boobiethon has been reborn. A Boobiethon 2.0 if you will. Different, but with the same core goal....to help raise money for breast cancer research; research that saves lives because we all want the same thing...a cure and a way to prevent breast cancer to begin with. Please join us in our new focus here at Boobiethon. We still love the boobies, but we have always said we are more than our boobies. We are people, both women and men, who want to make a difference.
